Business WiFi and network installation
Reliable WiFi and wired networks for offices, retail, amenity rooms and building common areas. We design Ubiquiti UniFi networks, from gateway to access points, that are segmented, documented and easy to support.
What we install
- UniFi gateways and firewalls
- Managed PoE switches that power access points, cameras and door readers
- WiFi 7 and WiFi 6 access points, placed from a coverage plan rather than guesswork
- Separate networks (VLANs) for staff, guests, cameras and building systems
- Guest WiFi with its own password, kept apart from the business network
- Wireless point-to-point links between buildings, outbuildings or parkade levels
Built for
Offices
Stable WiFi for laptops and video calls, and wired drops where they matter.
Strata common areas
Lobbies, gyms, amenity rooms and the caretaker's office.
Retail and hospitality
Guest WiFi kept separate from payment terminals and staff devices.
Building systems
Cameras, door access and intercoms on their own protected network segment.
Fixing WiFi that doesn't work
Dead zones, dropped calls and slow speeds usually come down to access point placement, interference or an overloaded consumer router. We find the cause first, then recommend only the equipment needed to fix it.
Documented and supportable
Every network is handed over with a device list, an addressing plan, admin access and labelled patching, so neither you nor the next technician has to start from scratch.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to replace our internet provider's modem?
Usually not. We normally keep the provider's connection and put a UniFi gateway behind it to manage the network properly.
How many access points do we need?
It depends on the floor area, wall construction and how many people connect at once. We plan placement from a floor plan or site walk so coverage is even without overbuying.
Can guests be kept off the business network?
Yes. Guest WiFi runs on its own network, with no access to staff computers, cameras or payment systems.
Will it work with our cameras and door access?
Yes. UniFi networking, cameras and access control are managed together, which makes the whole system simpler to run and support.
Is the installation covered by a warranty?
Yes. Our workmanship is covered for one year from completion, and the equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. OwlGuard is fully insured and WorkSafeBC registered.
